The high-flying show will be at Concord Pacific Place from Oct. 3 to Nov. 24.
LUZIA, the latest high-flying touring show from Cirque du Soleil, is coming to a big top tent in Vancouver this October.
The show, which takes place in an “imaginary Mexico … with a surrealistic series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances,” will be in Vancouver, at Cirque’s usual tent site at Concord Pacific Place, from Oct. 3 to Nov. 24.
LUZIA is the first touring Cirque show to incorporate rain into acrobatic and artistic scenes.
“Experience rain under the big top, jaw dropping acts and larger than life props in this unique production unlike any show you have ever seen before,” Cirque du Soleil says of LUZIA in its promotional material.
The show is described as a “waking dream where light (luz in Spanish) quenches the spirit and rain (lluvia) soothes the soul.”
Tickets, which start at $54 (plus fees), go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on May 10.”’
Advance tickets for LUZIA are available April 30, 7 a.m., to Cirque Club (www.cirqueclub.com) members.
