Two dead after five-vehicle crash in Brisbane’s north overnight

Two people have died in Brisbane’s inner-northern suburb of Windsor after a five-vehicle crash overnight.

Emergency services were called to Lutwyche Road after a collision involving four cars and a motorbike just after midnight.

Two people were dead at the scene while three others were taken to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

A woman in her 50s with minor injuries and a man in his 40s with neck and back pain were taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.

A woman in her 20s with neck and back pain was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

Lutwyche Road was closed between Newmarket Road and Le Geyt Street for several hours while diversions were in place.

The Forensic Crash unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
