Police are investigating a suspicious death after a 50-year-old man’s body was found in a downtown boarding house Saturday night.
Around 7:30 p.m., a janitor found the victim “injured or possibly deceased” in a room inside the building — near the corner of Hotel de Ville Ave. and René Levesque Blvd. — according to police.
The man called 911 and police confirmed his death at the scene.
Constable Caroline Chevrefils said the man’s body bore “signs of violence.”
Investigators from the major crimes unit are at the scene.
