A man has died and a woman flown to Broome Hospital after their Toyota Landcruiser lost control and rolled in Sturt Creek near the Northern Territory border on Saturday morning.
The Toyota Landcruiser Troopcarrier was being driven by a 68-year-old woman and was carrying a 63-year-old male and nine-year-old boy.
It was travelling south-east on the Tanami Road near the Billiluna community when the driver lost control.
The vehicle rolled a number of times before coming to rest on its side. The nine-year-old boy escaped serious injury.
The elderly passenger died as a result of the injuries he received and the 68-year-old driver was flown by Royal Flying Doctor Service to Broome Hospital in a stable condition.
Major crash investigaters are at the scene investigating.
