Laval police seek fraud suspects who tried to buy luxury cars

They are alleged to have used stolen personal information to try to purchase a Mercedes-Benz and a Lexus, each worth over $35,000.

Laval, 28 février 2019 - Le Service de police de Laval sollicite l’aide de la population afin d’identifier deux suspects qui auraient commis une fraude chez un concessionnaire automobile du quartier Ste-Rose. Entre le 31 juillet et le 3 août 2018, les suspects se sont présentés chez le commerçant à quelques reprises. Ils auraient utilisé des informations personnelles des victimes pour tenter d’obtenir du financement afin d’acheter deux véhicules. Une Mercedes et une Lexus usagées d’une valeur plus de 35 000 $ chacune.

Laval police have turned to the public to help track down two fraud suspects alleged to have used stolen personal information to try to obtain financing for a pair of used luxury cars.

Police say the suspects visited a car dealership in the Ste-Rose district three times between July 31 and Aug. 3, 2018.

Police say the pair tried to use false information to purchase a Mercedes-Benz and a Lexus, each worth more than $35,000.

The male suspect is 25-30 years old, about six-feet tall, with a thin build.

The woman is about 35, wears glasses, stands about five-feet, five inches and has long brown hair and a piercing in her lower lip.
